Privacy Policy

EverWag Tags (“EverWag,” “we,” “us”) is a trade name of Vortex Enterprises LLC, a Utah limited liability company. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit everwagtags.com or buy from us, how we use it, and the choices you have.
The short version: we collect only what we need to make and ship your order and to run our shop. We never sell your personal information, and we never share it for advertising. We donate 10% of our proceeds to dog rescue organizations; those donations are made by us, in our name, and never involve sharing anything about our customers.
1. What we collect
Information you give us.
When you order: your name, email address, shipping and billing addresses, and phone number if you provide it.
When you customize a tag: your pet’s name and the phone number you want on the back of the tag. This is personal information — it’s engraved on a product that will be worn in public — so we treat it with the same care as the rest of your order details.
When you contact us or sign up for our newsletter: your name and email address, and whatever you include in your message.
Payment details: your card or payment information goes directly to our payment processor, Squarespace Payments. We never see or store your full card number.
Information collected automatically.
Our website is built on Squarespace, which collects standard technical data when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and the site you came from. Squarespace uses this to keep the site running and to show us aggregate analytics (for example, how many people visited this week and which pages they viewed). We have not added any third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
Cookies: Squarespace sets cookies that are necessary for the site to work — keeping items in your cart, remembering your checkout progress, and preventing fraud — and analytics cookies for the aggregate statistics described above. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may prevent checkout from working.
2. How we use your information
To make, personalize, and ship your order, and to send order confirmations and shipping updates.
To answer your questions and provide customer service.
To send our newsletter, only if you signed up for it or checked the box at checkout. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.
To understand, in aggregate, how people use our site so we can improve it.
To meet legal obligations, such as tax and accounting records.
We do not use your information for any purpose you wouldn’t reasonably expect from buying a pet tag.
3. Who we share it with
We share your information only with the service providers that make our shop work, and only as needed for them to do their job:
Squarespace, which hosts our website, processes orders, stores customer records, and sends our emails.
Squarespace Payments, to process your payment.
Shipping carriers (such as USPS, UPS, or FedEx), who receive your name and address to deliver your order.
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy and is responsible for the data it handles.
We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect our rights, our customers, or others.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it, trade it, or share it with anyone for their own marketing. We have never done so and have no plans to.
4. How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as needed for tax, accounting, and warranty purposes — generally seven years. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Customer service correspondence is kept as long as reasonably needed to resolve your question and for a reasonable period afterward.
5. Your choices and rights
Email: unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in any email, or by writing to us.
Access and correction: you can ask us what personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it.
Deletion: you can ask us to delete your personal information. We’ll do so unless we need to keep it for a legal reason (such as tax records for a completed purchase), in which case we’ll tell you.
Cookies: manage cookies in your browser settings.
To make any of these requests, email us at Support@everwagtags.com. We’ll respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity so we don’t act on someone else’s request.
If you live in a state with a consumer privacy law that grants additional rights, we honor those rights. Utah residents: we are a small business and may fall below the thresholds of the Utah Consumer Privacy Act, but we extend the rights above to all our customers regardless.
6. Children
Our products are for people of all ages, but our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, email Support@everwagtags.com and we’ll delete it.
7. Security
We rely on Squarespace’s security measures, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and PCI-compliant payment processing, to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us and we don’t collect more than we need.
8. Links to other sites
Our site links to our Instagram and Facebook pages and may link to other sites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we’re not responsible for their practices.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we’ll update this page and change the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll also note it on the site or email customers who have an active order or subscription.
